#How To Experience Art

PANEL [en]

What happens in our brain when we are looking at art? Is there such a thing as a right or wrong way to experience art or to talk about it? And how can we influence this experience by creating new ways or even new places to experience art? Together with Clash-artists Nick Verstand and Philip Vermeulen, scientists dr. Barend van Heusden and dr. Iris Sommer (RUG/UMCG) and artistic director of Jonge Harten Theaterfestival Marc Maris, we try to find some answers to these questions. This panel is presented by Jelte Posthumus (Papegaaiduikers, OOGRadio).

#Insta Art

PANEL [NL]

Sensationally Sensorial

Workshop [en + nl]

Often when we talk about art, we talk about watching. But what if we look further than our sight? What if we awaken our senses roughly and use them fully? What are you smelling left? What do you hear around the corner? What do you feel behind you? In Sensationally Sensorial your senses will be sharpened just before you go and dance into all sensational experiences Clash is offering you.

*Collab between Clash and Jonge Harten Theater Festival.

Salim Bayri

S-links: the phone stranger, slides and live presentation [EN]

POWERPOINT PRESENTATION

S-links presentations are a series of performances in the format of a presentation where Salim Bayri traces a line through his close and far surroundings in a cheap forensic way. Jumping between photos and images he makes, a sense of familiarity and strangenes is woven through the narrative. He once mentioned the day he got unwillingly hypnotised, talked about donkey beauty contests and wonders why does he have a spicy sauce made of insects on his studio desk.

Klaas Hendrik Hantschel

Tales of body, space & time: making a meme [EN]

POWERPOINT PRESENTATION

Artistic research into the social human, algorithmic gods & digital avatars. Artist Klaas Hendrik Hantschel makes you aware of the here & now in a very short period of time. Or as he says: The two of us are lying in the desert and those little flies keep me from the sleep that I deserve. As we wake in a new dimension, the only two persons wearing clothes are the two of us. Besides the cots we lie on – we have stapled our belongings. It is not a lot. We do not need much. It is all inclusive.

Aftertalkshow (NL)

Nazorg!
